Mr Wardell said the first expo two years
ago was such a success that the club
decided to make it a biennial event.
More than 100 exhibitors were expected to
showcase their wares from farm machin-

health and fertiliser companies.
''We've even got a few stalls to cater for the
dairy farmer's wives.''
Mr Wardell said the club expected about 40

region to maintain the integrity
of the awards.''
However, the Otago Dairy

which has 12 entrants, would go
ahead as normal with the
winner progressing to the
national finals, he said.
Mr Richards said the Otago
region had struggled with
entries for a few years and one

Investing in future
The Government is establishing a company to

Primary Industries Minister David Carter said the
development of well-designed storage and
irrigation infrastructure has the potential to
deliver significant economic growth for our

will have a flow-on effect for all New Zealanders.
The Crown-owned company will be a minority
